On behalf of the Conference Organising Committee, Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland and the International Federation on Ageing (IFA) it is our immense pleasure to invite you to join us for the International Federation on Ageing 13th Global Conference.
The Conference will be held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from Tuesday 21 – Thursday 23 June 2016. The program will continue to advance IFA’s agendas in Age-friendly Cities and Communities, Aged Care, Elder Abuse and Income Protection as well as focusing on Disasters in an Ageing World. The Conference will incorporate international keynote speakers, oral presentations, posters, exhibition and social events.
Brisbane provides a beautiful location for the Conference with its picturesque winding river, attractive modern buildings, a thriving retail centre, excellent restaurants and most importantly – year-round pleasant weather. Brisbane is a diverse city with one of the fastest growing economies in Australia. It is a city of alluring character: from its distinctive architecture (the charming ‘Queenslanders’ and worker’s cottages that line inner-suburban streets) to its swimming beach right in the middle of the CBD.
We look forward to welcoming you to Brisbane.
